Bangkok
This is the only photo I have taken in Bangkok and pretty much sums up my trip here. I've realised that Thailand is my least favourite country. I hated Phuket when I first got there is 2009 and didn't like Krabi much and I really don't like Bangkok either. Ill be glad to leave in a few hours' time. I was glad to get some hot food and I got a much needed foot massage and pedicure. My poor feet have been neglected. I got some medication for my corns and my insect bites are clearing up. My first hot shower in a month was probably the best shower I have ever had in my life: the night I arrived I was so tired as I hadn't been sleeping well for 2 nights due to the fleas in my bed and had to get up at 5.30am to get to work downtown everyday. I was moaning with delight in the shower and then again when I laid on the thick, comfortable mattress! I was giggling and laughing at myself because I was moaning so much. It was pure relief.
After I return to the monastery tonight ill stay my last night there and move into the teacher's hostel on Sunday, where there is hot water in the shower and a king sized mattress! I will miss my monks but I think I'll be able to eat and sleep much better at my new home in downtown Yangon and so will be better off long-term.
