Piper the Viper

This snake has proven to be a veritable difficulty. He has been hiding in my bathroom (seen here in the drain). I am now constantly terrified every time I go into the bathroom. I have never been so fearful while showering before. I am paranoid he will jump out at me again. He first appeared from the ceiling. He fell onto Sumana's head and then onto my toes. Then, I saw him again a 2nd time on the shower head, waiting for me. He had a big frilled neck and a rattle-snake like tail, so I believe he could be poisonous. The monks assure me he is not, but they have not seen him. The lonely planet guide says: "Myanmar has numerous snake varieties, of which an astounding 52 are venomous...this makes Myanmar home to more venomous snakes than any other country in the world". I was thanking God last night that I was not bitten.
