The village

I just went for a walk down to the end of the road as I was
getting a little house cramped from all this bed rest when two monks, I can’t
spell their names asked me to accompany them to the village. It made me realise
why I came here. This place is spectacular! I wanted to take photos but I
stopped myself. It was my first time in the township which is not far at all
from the monastery (I didn’t know) and is just amazing! It is a new, small
village and the people are just beautiful. Every glance you take in each
direction is a potential photographic masterpiece. I had to stop myself from
taking the photos as it is my first time in the small village and I was walking
with two monks so everyone was looking at us, and I’m not yet well enough to
muster up the interaction that is required to be friendly and polite when
taking a photo of people. One man stopped me, came up to me eagerly and spoke
to me, obviously proud to be speaking English! He was adorable! He said I was
strong! Not sure why, perhaps the Aussie physique as I do not feel very strong
at the moment. It was precisely what I needed to hear.
