First Saturday back at KSW

Every time I teach the monks I feel so happy and energised afterwards. I think its from the metta (loving-kindness) they share. I feel so proud to be teaching them. It's such an amazing feeling really. I feel appreciated and like I've done a worthwhile job. Basically the opposite to teaching in a mainstream secondary school. As a comparison to help you understand, its the opposite feeling to how you feel after teaching a bunch of rowdy, unruly teenagers (esp. one like in London and Australia), which has been how I have felt for much of my career. (I really don't know how I am going to adjust back to teaching like that again). I feel so happy after a day's work there. They are amazing students. Wonderful people with a beautiful energy. An energy that now fuels my life. I am so lucky. I love my life. I feel like I want to share loving-kindness with everyone I can. With the whole world (which is actually one form of meditation). This experience is so special to me, and I'm so glad to have had it.

The beginners (2) class asked for a group photo.

Trying the local food cautiously : made of prunes
